Have you ever left your house in the morning and knew you were in for one of those special kind of days? One of those snow in the mountains, lake shimmering, 65 degree and sunny kind of days. You could ski in the morning, boat in the afternoon and end up at a mellow dinner with twinkly lights on the lake that night. Or maybe even it is just a day where you are home and cozy, but outside all day long.
The sort of days with no plan, mild weather, and the possibility of lots of mellow adventures. Those are my very favorite kind of days. Hi guys! My name is Madeline French, and I enjoy creating simple and elegant jewelry for days just like those. The kind of jewelry you put on, and never take off. It is comfortable, long lasting, and just simple enough it goes with everything. It reminds you of the people you love, holds intention, and gives you that everyday elegance.
I spend a lot of time on muddy job sites working for Dad's lumber distribution company or selling cedar siding packages to builders, and I love it. But, I wanted something that filled my creative side. I wanted a place that gave me room to curate, to play with color combinations, and Madeline French Designs is exactly that. It is the type of jewelry brand that you can wear on job sites, or while getting first tracks on your local mountain. But, it is also the sort of jewelry you can wear at a wedding and feel equally beautiful for the occasion.
At the end of the day, all my adventures led me home, and home is where I always wanted to be. It is my favorite place in the world, and also where my parents and 3 older sisters live, which makes it that much sweeter. Being back at home eventually led me to work for my Dad's lumber company and in turn, to start something of my own. My Dad being a great example to jump and have faith, to work hard and play even harder. So here I am today: selling lumber by day and making jewelry by night.
